Only a few hours later, the 9th Cheerleading World Championships kicks off in Takasaki, Japan.
The Takasaki Arena offers an ideal setting for the participants. The hyper-modern building, which opened just a few months ago, is a perfect place for a World Championships. Overall, the arena can accommodate over 6,000 spectators, although not all seats can be occupied by the alignment of the dance floor.
In order to create the best possible conditions for the athletes, more than 150 volunteers are in action.
For the third time, the World Cup takes place in Japan, this time just in the 370,000-inhabitant city of Takasaki. The first edition of the World Games also took place in the Land of the Rising Sun, 2001 in Tokyo.
Since then, the number of participants has grown more and more. This year, a total of 28 countries from Asia, Europe, South and North America send their representatives to the World Championships.
The athletes will show breathtaking choreographies with top athletic difficulties, which will be judged by officials from various countries.
And all fans of the cheerleading could be part of it: For this purpose, a live stream was set up for Sunday, November 12th. Information about the stream can be found on the official website of CWC 2017 at www.takasaki2017.com and www.facebook.com/takasaki2017.
Be part of it!
